Privacy Policy

BIPAC provides Prosperity Project web pages as a service to our Member Organization (the owner of this web site). This Privacy Policy is consistently applied to all Prosperity Project sites.  From time to time, BIPAC may provide additional services which may require amendments to this policy. The updated policy will be available online at all times.

Entering personal data is not required to use Prosperity Project web sites.  Some data is stored in website usage logs, such as the IP address from which the website user accesses the site, any zip code information entered into legislator lookup or voter registration information functions, and which website pages were accessed and at what time.  For some functions, such as writing a letter to a legislator or submitting a PAC contribution form, personal information such as the website user's name and mailing address is requested and is necessary for preparing the letter text or submitting the contribution pledge.  BIPAC will hold that data only as long as is needed to process the requested task and confirm and audit delivery of the information to the intended recipient, unless directed by our Member Organization (the owner of this web site) to store it for a longer period of time.  If requested by our Member Organization, BIPAC will gather specific user data, such as the website user's name and mailing address and information about the letter sent, and provide such data to an authorized Member Organization site administrator.  BIPAC will not forward such specific user data to the Member Organization unless the website user provides the information as part of a specific action request and submits the web form information with an affirmative acknowledgement that a copy of the information will "be sent to us" (meaning the Member Organization).  BIPAC will not distribute personally identifiable information about the website user to any parties other than the Member Organization site administrator and/or any others necessary to complete the specific action requested by the website user.

In no case do we send any sort of mass email to Member Organization website users.  There are two possible situations in which we would send an email to the website user using the Prosperity Project web site:

  1. If we provide a PAC contribution form on behalf of the Member Organization, our system will send a confirmation email to the email address provided by the website user submitting a contribution pledge online.  This confirmation might be sent at a later date as well, if sending it is initiated by a Member Organization site administrator via the Prosperity Project administration site.
  2. If a website user sends a message to an elected official, and the Member Organization specifically requests that we email confirmation that the message will be sent, our system will send a confirmation email to the email address provided by the website user submitting the message on the site.
